Chickpea cakes


Cooking time: 8 min - Preparation time: 15 min - Serves: 5

Ingredients

250 g dried chickpeas (soaked overnight in cold water)
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1/2 bunch coriander
A few sprigs parsley
1 tsp. teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon golden sesame
1 pinch chili powder
Salt, pepper
Oil


Preparation:

1. Drain and dry the chickpeas. Place them in the bowl of a food processor with the herbs, onion, garlic, spices, yeast, sesame seeds and a little salt and pepper.

2. Blend to a coarse paste. Chill for one hour.

3. Scoop out small quantities of dough with a tablespoon and shape into patties with your hands. Continue until the dough is used up.

4. Heat the Kokko and lightly oil the top. Brown the patties for a few minutes on each side, turning them over with a spatula. Place on paper towel before serving.

Tip: Serve warm or hot with a Greek salad or pita bread with tzatziki.
